GCP BigQuery

GCP BigQuery is Google Cloud’s fully managed, serverless data warehouse for running fast SQL analytics on large datasets without provisioning or operating database infrastructure. It addresses the common data engineering challenge of turning growing volumes of application logs, events, and business records into reliable, interactive queries by separating storage from compute and executing SQL on a distributed engine that parallelizes work across many machines and scales capacity automatically. With GCP BigQuery, teams can load data in batches or stream it in near real time and get high concurrency with minimal tuning; without it, similar workloads often require managing clusters, planning capacity, and continuously optimizing performance, increasing operational overhead and the risk of slow queries or failures during peak demand. This gap exists because BigQuery handles resource allocation, fault tolerance, and platform-level security and governance controls for you.
