GCP BigQuery

GCP BigQuery is Google Cloud’s fully managed data warehouse for analyzing large datasets with SQL, without provisioning or maintaining database servers. It addresses the common problem of turning growing volumes of logs, events, and business data into fast, reliable analytics by separating storage from compute and running queries on Google’s distributed execution engine, scaling resources automatically as demand changes. With GCP BigQuery, teams can load or stream data and get interactive query performance with minimal operational overhead; without it, achieving similar speed and concurrency typically requires managing clusters, tuning performance, and planning capacity, which increases cost risk and slows delivery. This gap exists because BigQuery handles parallel processing, resource allocation, and infrastructure maintenance for you while enforcing access controls and governance features at the platform level.
